WAHA High Performance 16, 17 Festival

Players do not tryout for this festival but instead are nominated by their High School Section Committee or their USAH Tier 1 Program to be placed in a WAHA Draft for an opportunity to be selected to represent the best of the best in the WAHA HP 16 (2005) and 17 (2004) State Festivals April 10-11 at the Blue Line Family Ice Center in Fond du Lac, WI. Both birth-year festivals will have approximately 54 players (6 goalies 18 defenseman and 30 forwards). The draft will take place on or before the high school section's seeding meetings..

Both festivals begin at 5:45 pm and 6:00 pm on Saturday April 10 continuing with an All-Star Game at the end on Sunday April 11 This schedule is designed to help spring sport athletes attend this festival and save one night of lodging..

The players that are selected in the WAHA draft will be emailed an invite link (with a deadline) so they can register and complete payment, they will  immediately to hold a spot in the festival. When all the players have paid, the player’s names will be posted on the WAHA website with group reporting times for Saturday.

Approximately 20 players (7D, 11F, 2G) in both birth years  will be selected to represent Wisconsin in Central District HP 16 and 17 Festivals May 7-9 at Cornerstone Community Center, DePere. Players selected will have their names posted on www.centraldistricthockey.org where player families can click their player’s name to register and pay their fee of $160. Players will be competing with players from IL, MO, MW, (IA,KS,NE) to advance to a USA Hockey National Player Development Select 16 or 17 Summer Camp. Players moving on will also be posted on www.centraldistricthockey.org and USA Hockey will handle all registration and payment going forward.

Use a credit card or debit card or a gift card to register online for the tryout. No walkons with cash or checks will be accepted and no refunds. No exceptions.

All players must tryout for the position they registered for all the way through the entire process.
